MUSC-Hollings Cancer Center Mobile vaccine van will be coming to our Middle Schools on October 3rd and October 4th 2023. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to receive two important vaccines. We encourage you to take advantage of this convenient opportunity to get your child vaccinated.
Two vaccines will be made available to all middle schoolers (with parent consent)
(For students with Medicaid based insurance and/or no health insurance)
1. Tdap- This is a state required school vaccine for all rising 7th graders. The Tdap vaccine prevents against pertussis, diphtheria and pertussis. If you child has not received a Tdap booster, make plans for he/she to receive in October.
2. HPV- This is an optional vaccine but strongly recommended. The HPV vaccine prevents several different cancers later in life.
